You can have your rainbow and eat it too! In this week’s class, students from Aii Language Center, Chamkar Doung Campus, explored how colorful fruits and vegetables help keep our bodies healthy and strong. The teacher introduced a “rainbow diet,” encouraging students to learn different food colors such as red, yellow, green, orange, and purple. They practiced naming these foods in English while understanding that eating a variety of colors gives their bodies important vitamins and nutrients.
After the discussion, the class enjoyed a hands-on art activity using real fruits and vegetables for painting. Students dipped items like sliced apples, carrots, and leafy greens into paint and stamped them onto paper to create beautiful patterns. They were excited to see the different shapes and textures each food made.
This creative task helped students connect language, health, and art in an enjoyable way. The class was lively and engaging, and students were excited to share their colorful creations while learning how to make healthy choices every day.
